Holz-Slide Didgeridoo, Musikinstument, Didgeridoo, Didge, Yidaki, Aerophon
The Carlidooscope double slide didge was carefully carved out of a whole maple trunk (no sandwich construction, turning or the like). The wood was sealed with a special wood oil varnish in several layers inside and outside and polished to a high gloss. It is extremely thin-walled, so it is very resonant and easy to play.
A novelty is that slide tubes made of brass were installed for the first time in this didge. This metal has excellent sound properties and is therefore used in the construction of wind instruments. The mouthpiece is made of bronze and stainless steel, so there are no sticky lips or deformations as with conventional didges. The entire slide tube + mouthpiece was turned, polished and then painted by hand.
You can quickly tune into other instruments through the slide tube. Pitch range from A, -E and includes all whole and semitones in between.
Length of the wooden body: 1.66 m
Extended length of slide tubes: 80 cm
The beautiful instrument is suitable, due to the easy playing, for professionals as well as for beginners.
